Estimates, not guarantees

Raise results depend on the numbers you enter. Defaults (for example inflation % or marginal tax rate) are starting points you can edit. Real paychecks include overtime rules, shift differentials, commissions, benefits deductions, retirement deferrals, garnishments, and jurisdiction- specific taxes that this site does not model in full.

Inflation and benchmarks

“Real raise” figures compare your raise percent to an inflation percent you supply. Benchmark articles summarize third-party surveys and public data; those sources can revise figures, and your industry or location may differ. Always read the citation year on the average raise percentage page when that page is available.
